Every art centre is different, but the way we approach the work follows a clear thread. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at how an art centre website comes together, and why each step matters.
Start by listening
Before any design, we learn how the centre works: who the artists are, how works are made and sold, and what the team needs day to day. The best decisions come from understanding the community, not assuming.
Design around the artwork
The design puts the art first: a calm, uncluttered gallery, generous space, and images that load fast and look true to colour. Everything else supports the work rather than competing with it.
Build the tools that matter
Then comes the practical machinery: secure e-commerce, stock and consignment handling, artist profiles and exhibition pages, all built to be managed easily by a small team, often from a remote location.
Launch and support
We make sure the team is comfortable running the site, and we stay available afterwards. A website should empower the centre, not become another thing to worry about.
