Once you decide to connect SAM to your website, the next question is which platform to run your store on. WooCommerce and Shopify both work with SAM, so the choice comes down to how you prefer to run things rather than whether the sync will work. Here is how to think about it.
WooCommerce: control and content
WooCommerce runs on WordPress, so you get full control over design and content, and it suits centres that want a rich, story-led site with a shop attached. The WordPress version of Defyn SAM drops into an existing WooCommerce site and is already live at multiple art centres.
Shopify: simple and hosted
Shopify handles hosting, security and checkout for you, which some centres prefer. The Shopify version installs from the App Store and lives inside your Shopify admin. If you want less to manage yourself, it is a strong option.
The same connector underneath
